About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Men's Group Facilitator, Wilderness Therapist, and Trauma Healer. My passion is helping men to heal, improve their relationships, navigate difficult transitions, strengthen their self esteem, and rediscover their truth and power. I draw upon a lifetime of deep self work and years of service as a crisis interventionist, personal assistant to those with TBIs, case manager for the homeless and mentally ill, and a group home manager for adolescents. Since 2016, my psychotherapy practice has helped hundreds of people like you. I was a machinist and led a machining department for 6.5 years. I built, operated, and then sold a moving business after 10 successful years.

I put my full self into every relationship and project. If you are serious about yourself, your pain, your goals, you needs, your hunger for "something" other than what you now are experiencing, then I will be right there with you. Together we feel into what you're truly feeling and needing. I help you feel safe feeling and expressing your emotions. Laughing, crying, loving, hating, caring and not caring, hoping and dreading... they are all part of the human experience and I believe that until we arrive at where we are- how we are truly feeling now, today- we can't get to where it is that we want to go. Sometimes this means unpacking what happened yesterday, or during childhood, or even during your parents' lives. All the past leads up to this moment, and we want to use our past, not let our past use us. I use a variety of techniques in the therapy process, and through it all is a sense of authenticity and warmth and courage. As you heal, your path becomes clearer. We identify your needs, which correlate to what actions you can take to satisfy those needs. I send out Action Items after the session to assist you between sessions. We will help you identify, uphold, and express your boundaries. While emotions like grief, anxiety, anger, and hunger may never fully disappear, your capacity for them will grow and you will learn to use these emotions to inform you as to what action you need to take. You will develop greater intuitive, instinctual knowledge that you trust and from which place you take action. You will learn to love yourself and be open to feeling the love from others. This is my hope for you.
