About me
I am an experienced therapist who is dedicated to helping people cope with and grow through life's challenges.
I work with a wide variety of individuals - adults, teens, children, and couples - dealing with life transitions, relationship changes, trauma, insecurity, anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse, self-harm, chronic pain, and other stressors. I also see clients who feel stuck in life and want to move forward and make changes. There is hope, and there is help. I use supportive techniques, humor, and the conviction that things can get better to build an alliance and a treatment plan tailored to fit your goals and personality.
I use a supportive, client-centered approach that identifies practical solutions while also providing deeper insight into challenges. In addition to talk therapy I have extensive experience and training with mindfulness-based approaches, including incorporating the Muse headband, a cutting edge device that teaches focus and calm through biofeedback.
I believe we grow through adversity. When we find ourselves in difficult situations, there is potential to objectively improve the situation and learn something about ourselves. This growth deepens our appreciation for life: in good times and bad.
