I work with people who are ready to heal from their unresolved trauma. My clients might be experiencing other co-occurring mental health symptoms and/or substance use related to the trauma as well. This type of therapy can be emotionally intense, so it is important that the person is willing to face some discomfort in order to find the relief of healing. My clients insist on overcoming all of the things they have working against them in their lives. My clients are survivors and warriors who refuse to be held back by their trauma.

I use EMDR therapy to target and reprocess traumatic experiences so that the person can not only heal but thrive. I encourage people to draw strength from their religious/spiritual beliefs and practices during this process if they do have such a foundation. There are also many other resources we use for emotional regulation throughout this process.
There are so many ways trauma can negatively affect someone, so I empower my clients to be able to get out from under it. I consider it a huge honor to have someone allow me to walk with them on their journey and to be able to witness them flourish throughout the process.
