About me
Emma is an experienced LCPC Supervisor working in the outpatient mental health setting. She is skilled in Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Spirituality, and family therapy. She completed a master’s degree in Counseling from Bowie State University. Presently, she is working at a private Agency.
Emma-Linda Ojo-Adebayo is the founder and Executive Director and The ARK Counseling and Wellness Center of the ARK of God International Ministry. She is a psychotherapist providing individual, couples, family and group therapy to individual of all ages. Being a mental health counselor is what God put upon her heart in finding this ministry many years ago. Feeling safe, feeling heard, and trusting your therapist’s competence and confidence can be as much a determiner of success in therapy as your therapist’s mode of intervention. Emma welcomes persons of all genders and all faiths and orientations.
Emma has worked at various mental health clinic in New York and Maryland and bring a unique faith-based approach at the request of clients. She has experience working with many common counseling concerns. She works with clients in addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, family relational problems, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement, parenting challenges, divorce, separation, and sexuality, gender identity issues. Lastly, Emma takes a holistic approach that incorporates body, mind, and spirit. She believes it’s important to integrate life’s meaning into counseling. She works within personal belief frameworks. She views therapy as collaboration.
Emma emphasizes unconditional positive regard, respect, a safe and caring therapeutic relationship, individual strengths, and taking control over choices. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, Solution Based Focus approach, Eclectic Structural Brief Therapy (ESBT) and Adlerian Counseling Approach.
She listens and adjusts methods to meet your needs. She views each session as an opportunity to recover insights from the past. It only seemed natural to do something to help individuals deals with their issues and parents to cope with their children who exhibit emotional, educational and mental health problems by offering a variety of support through group counseling, Individual therapy, behavior management, and social skills programs that will help children and adults to function at their optimal level.

Emma earned her M.A in Counseling Psychology at Bowie State University. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the college of Staten Island of the City University Of New York. She holds a certification in Elementary, Middle school and High school. Emma has worked in the Public School system working with Elementary, Middle scholars and High School students.
Emma’s professional memberships include the American Counseling Association, the Maryland Licensed Mental Health Counseling Association and the National Register of National board-certified Counselors.
