About me
It is frustrating and exhausting moving through each day feeling like you don’t have the tools you need to thrive. We can work together to develop new skills and insights so you can feel more empowered in working towards your goals and being on a path that brings you joy.
I provide Telehealth psychotherapy services for teens (aged 14-18) and young adults (18 - 30-ish) in Washington State. Some of the common areas of treatment are depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, relationship struggles, school/job stress, grief and loss, and trauma. I utilize an eclectic treatment approach pulling from evidence-based treatment practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I was born and raised in Hawaii, though for the past 14 years have called the Pacific Northwest home. After completing my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Evansville, I made my way to New England, later working to earn my Master’s of Social Work degree from Salem State University in Massachusetts.
My professional experience over the past 20 years has given me the privilege of working with youth, adults, and families in residential programs, foster care, group homes, community mental health, and most recently school based mental health.
I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits all approach to therapy and value the uniqueness and strengths of each individual I work with. I believe that trust and transparency are of the utmost importance in a therapeutic relationship. After assessing your concerns and goals, we will work together in identifying the treatment interventions that work best for you. Education around mental health and wellness is always my priority to ensure you are informed to make the best choice for yourself.
