About me
Ebony Fenwick is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board-Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC-BC), and Cognitive Processing Trauma Therapist in Virginia who has over 12 years of experience working with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, substance misuse, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms related to unresolved trauma. Ebony earned her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Maryland—Eastern Shore. Recently, she began her doctoral studies with Walden University to focus on Counselor Education and Supervision. Ebony strives to provide excellent care to those on their healing journeys dealing with a variety of personal issuesresulting in theexperience of challenging emotions or unhealthybehaviors. Her theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but she has experience utilizing other therapies to assist her clients. She has completed training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Moral Reconation Therapy. Ebony is passionate about providing those she serves with the educational tools and emotional support to manage whatever challenges they are facing. Using compassion and empathy, she empowers others to make progress along their self-healing journey.
