I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an inclusive practice that supports folks struggling with anxiety, gender, sexuality, trauma and other stressors.

I approach therapy with an open heart and mind, using an integrated practice rooted in Trauma-Informed, Anti-Racist, and Reproductive Justice frameworks. I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings as well as the potential for growth, joy, resilience and expansion. We share a world rife with uncertainty, systemic oppression and injustice that disproportionately impacts folks with intersecting marginalized identities. I aim to help my clients tap into the wisdom of their bodies to navigate these systems and any past or present stressors that may be impacting their quality of life or relationships. I am sex/kink positive and support the Health at Every Size (HAES) model. I have extensive experience working with the LBTQIA+ community and supporting folks experiencing emotional, relationship and medical crises.

Some amount of suffering, stress or discomfort is unfortunately unavoidable in our society. I aim to help clients build more psychological flexibility to manage these experiences, thoughts and feelings, and to challenge the avoidance that may be exacerbating symptoms of depression, trauma and anxiety. I draw from several different therapy modalities, including Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For the past 4 years I have worked at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York providing crisis intervention, abortion and pregnancy counseling, mental health evaluations for gender affirming surgeries, short term therapeutic support as well as community based referrals and resources. I bring a deep sense of warmth, compassion, empathy, humor, and collaboration to every session, and hope that I can provide a healing space in which you can learn, rest and grow. You are the expert on your life and body, I can help support you in that, and perhaps provide a helpful perspective to welcome meaningful change.

I do not believe that there is a “one size fits all” model to anything, especially therapeutic treatment. I use my skills and training to gather and share tools that meet clients’ unique needs and take into consideration their individual identities and lived experience. I am practicing from the perspective of a White, thin, Queer, able-bodied, cisgender woman with awareness that the origins of the Social Work profession are inherently racist, harmful and violent. I also recognize the way that systemic racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, fatphobia, mental health stigma and others impact our bodies and nervous systems. All of this informs my practice, and I hope I can help clients feel empowered, regulate their bodies, become more mindful and achieve their goals.
