About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in clinical mental health as well as marriage and family therapy. I bring almost a decades worth of expertise and my education at the masters and doctorate level have prepared me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and distinct personal histories. I believe everyone is capable of change. I also believe in honoring a person’s past, personal experience, and to respect an individual’s belief in making meaning of their world.
I specialize in treating children, adolescents. and adults in conducting individual. group, and family and couples counseling. I also specialize in treating g traumas, co-occurring disorders, and addictions, amongst many other mental health disorders, mood disorders, and personality disorders. My specialized training at the doctorate level has prepared me in the treatment of trauma, addiction, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I take great pride in my clients and respect their dignity as well as their uniqueness. My experience with children encompasses working with children with Autism Spectrum disoder, Oppositional Defiant disorder, Intermittent Explosive disorder. ADHD, anxiety, depression, separation disorders, and other behavioral disorders, and other neurocognitive disorders. I conduct play therapies using the child’s own medium of toys to connect and communicate with them. My work with adolescents and adults includes individual as well as group therapies. I have experience with individuals with trauma histories, anxiety, depression, addiction, marriage and family conflicts, PTSD. Borderline Personality disorder, Narcissistic Personality disorder, and adjustment disoders amongst many others. Currently, my clients range in ages from 7-78, and I welcome you, to our family of dedicated and committed therapists, and our wealth of experience, knowledge, and genuine caring for our clients.
