Hello, I am Don and my pronouns are he/him/his. I have over 15 years’ experience in Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment in various roles. My passions include working with individuals with Substance Use challenges, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals and individuals who are First Responders.

My therapeutic approach is a blend of Positive Psychology, ACT with tools from CBT and DBT. I believe in Self-Direction and see my role as a facilitator who allows you to talk through and figure out your direction. I will then assist you with developing goals and creating tools that will facilitate reaching those goals.

I have previously worked with teens and adults of all ages. My work with First Responders began when I worked in EMS and has continued as a therapist. My certifications include: Peer Support, Recovery Support, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Disaster Crisis Outreach and Referral Professional, Recovery Support Supervisor.

Life is challenging and sometimes those challenges leave us feeling alone. But you don’t have to carry those challenges alone. In fact, we are not meant to carry our challenges alone. My goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to work through your challenges. My interest in this field began with my own recovery and I have faith that you can find your way and achieve your full potential.

I offer Recovery Coaching Services through my own practice and work with a local private practice as a therapist. Recovery Coaching services are provided on a sliding scale and therapy is in-network with some insurance plans and has a sliding scale for those who are out of network.
