Imago Dei is a Latin term meaning “image of God.” This term is often used to describe the relationship between God and human as human beings are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-28). It has been said that “striving to bring about the Imago Dei in one’s life can be seen as the quest for wholeness, or one’s “essential” self.” The goal of Imago Dei being central to the therapeutic process is to restore individuals to their true image, founded in God. As a Licensed Mental health Clinician, my goal is to form healing relationships with my clients in an environment of love, acceptance, and safety. My purpose is to listen and understand your needs, and to empower you towards overcoming the challenges you are facing. I want you to have peace and I want you to enjoy your life and relationships without the problems, fears, and concerns that cause you worry and unrest. I am honored to work beside you as you heal, learn to love yourself better, and find and enjoy greater connection and intimacy in relationships with others, and to find your true Imago Dei.
I have a divine purpose and gift for individuals who are discouraged, stagnant, hurting, or stuck in bad relationship cycles, as well as those who need a little boost. I specialize in trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, and personal and spiritual growth. I have a burning passion to help others heal from their past as well as recognize and achieve their full potential in all areas of life. I believe most problems are spiritual in nature, stemming from lies Satan has told you. Thus, Christian counseling is concerned with the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of each client.
You don’t have to be a Christian to benefit from counseling with a faith-based therapist. I provide professional mental health services with a Biblical foundation for those who choose it. Your counseling path can include or exclude issues of spirituality. The direction of your therapy is always your choice.
