About me
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I believe that therapy is beneficial to everyone and being in therapy allows you to express yourself in a judgment-free environment.
Hello! My name is Desi Richardson. I am licensed through the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and am supervised by Shawna Munson, M.A., LPC-S.
I received my Bachelor of Science in General Studies with a minor in Psychology in 2016 from West Texas A&M University while in Canyon Texas. After graduation, I moved back to Dallas Fort Worth and began volunteering with a nonprofit, and provided group therapy to grieving children.
In 2019, while pursuing my education I gained experience working with adolescents who had been sexually abused. During my internship, I gained knowledge of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).
I received my Master in Counseling from West Texas A&M University in May 2020.
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I believe that therapy is beneficial to everyone and being in therapy allows you to express yourself in a judgment-free environment.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, binge-watching Netflix, baking, taking my dog to the park, and loving on my two cats.
