About me
I have been in the social work field for five years helping adults, teens and families meet their basic needs and obtain and maintain their physical and mental health as well as recovery. I have a dependent license in OH and KY and am current on evidenced-based therapeutic models for practice.
Life is beautiful and messy. Recovery is not linear. And healing takes more than just time. It is our experiences from birth to the present that have shaped us to be who we are. Therapy can help peel back those layers of experiences and allow us to better understand how our experiences affected us and learn how to move beyond the past and reshape our future. Perhaps past trauma prevents you from feeling safe and happy or relationship issues are crushing your spirit. Maybe recent loss has triggered pain that seems unbearable or life transitions are very overwhelming.
As your therapist, I will provide a safe place for you to process, and I will teach you skill sets and provide you with tools to use outside of the office so you can achieve your goals and better manage your health, circumstances, and everyday life events. Most importantly, you will drive your treatment plan goals because you are the expert of your life!
I have provided individual and group counseling to children, youth, and adults with severe mental illness, behavioral and relationship issues, loss and grief, substance use disorders and court ordered services, among others. I have advocated for children/parents’ rights and used psychosocial assessment to connect individuals to needed wrap around services.
