About me
For the past 20+ years, I have been assisting adults as they work through major life transitions (starting a new career, preparing for retirement, getting married or divorced, navigating menopause, deciding next steps, having children, children 'leaving the nest,' etc.). My goal is to help clients identify and use their strengths so that they can get back on track to living their best life.
Are you at a turning point in your life? Do you know there is something more ‘out there’ for you? Are you experiencing a major life transition? Life changes can be disorienting, scary, and challenging. You may question if you can successfully navigate the changes you are facing. Depending on your situation, you may feel helpless, hopeless, sad, and/or angry. But there is hope, you are resilient, you can do this! I believe we all have the power within us to create positive change and transformation.
My approach to helping:
I have been working as a mental health therapist for 20 years. My goal is to help you find and use your strengths so that you can access the path to living your best life. By working together, we can find and nurture your power so you can start living your most authentic life with purpose and meaning and to move forward with hope, support, and clarity. Using a combination of positive and cognitive theoretical frameworks, I help clients navigate change and overcome the obstacles to living a meaningful life. I listen with compassion and for understanding, cultivating a strong working alliance so that you can focus on taking action and moving your life forward.
Personal beliefs:
I believe that we all have the right to be here, to express who we are, and to live authentically in our bodies. I strive to do exactly this - to live a full and meaningful life. At the same time, I understand that sometimes it may take a while for us to find our voice and live a life that we are proud of and feel good about. Sometimes, we lose sight of or forget who we truly are supposed to be. This is my quest - to live my best life and to help others live theirs as well.
