Courtney Breven

Courtney Breven is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has 5 years of experience working with teens, adults, and families as they embark on a journey towards change. Courtney has experience working with families touched by foster care and adoption; individuals exploring their sexuality and gender identity; individuals learning to manage anxiety and depression; and families and individuals navigating life’s transitions. She also has experience working with couples that are non-monogamous and/or polyamorous. Courtney completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Virginia Commonwealth University.She is passionate about partnership in the therapeutic setting--believing that you are the expert on your own experience.Using a collaborative, strengths based, and emotionally focused approach, Lori will help you to see your areas for growth as connected to a larger experience, while offering practical and useful coping skills.
