About me
Certified Sex Therapy with growing inclusive practice
I strive to create an environment which is affirming and comfortable yet also expect I will challenge clients in their assumptions regarding thoughts, behaviors, and social interactions. I often use humor, clinical vignettes, and use of self (my own experiences) to create a positive therapeutic experience for the clients I serve. I believe therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist. As such, clients create goals for themselves while therapist assist them in reaching their goals. I want clients to obtain the services that are right for them, as such, I am always willing and happy to provide referrals as needed.
I am one of a few male Certified Sex Therapist in Philadelphia and Media areas. My specialties include, people seeking to understand their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, males in therapy, LGBTQ couples, sexual dysfunctions, and non-traditional/open/polyamorous relationships.
I have worked in social & mental health services for nearly 20 years, serving in roles as a therapist, supervisor, professor, and public health worker. While I have served in many professional roles, I also have a long history of volunteerism. I often focused my work within the LGBTQ+ community.
