Welcoming Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and private pay clients for in-person sessions in Eugene and Online Video anywhere in Oregon.

I might start a session by inviting you to identify key issues to focus on, but just a simple naming of themes rather going deep with words. As you hold those themes or memories in your awareness, I’ll invite you to bring attention to your present moment experience, starting with perception of the physical environment and internal or external body sensations, later integrating emotions, images, thoughts and memories. I integrate "bottom up approaches" that engage the body's wisdom, the heart, and so-called right brain consciousness, with work that engages patterns of thought, reason, the will, psycho-education, and skill building.

I hold a master’s degree (3-year) in clinical mental health counseling and am trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy (2-year comprehensive training), a pioneering approach to using mindfulness and somatic integration to access core material and to transform the habitual ways that we orient toward life. I am a current student in the 3-year Somatic Experiencing® (SE) Practitioner training program. The SE approach is often associated with trauma treatment but also broadly addresses issues related to unresolved activation in the nervous system.

If you would like to find out if I might be a good fit for you, feel free to visit my Client Portal and schedule a no-charge 15-20 minute consultation.
