About me
I am a mental health counseling intern who has nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field, having worked in community mental health centers and volunteered in Miami Children's psychiatric ward.
I am a mental health counseling intern, currently working towards full licensure. I have nearly 10 years of experience in the field, having worked with countless clients of different ages and with a variety of presenting issues. Within my work with my clients, I focus on providing a safe space where the client can express themselves and discuss their issues by providing empathy, genuineness and unconditional positive regard. I like to make it clear to my clients at the start of our work together, that although I come from a place of experience and education in mental health issues, they are the ones that are in control and I am here to help guide them and learn more about themselves.
