About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience working with adults with mental health and addiction.
“People do not come to therapy to change their past but to change their FUTURE” by Milton Erickson. This quote speaks volumes in what therapy is about to me. Often people find therapy as drudging up past issues that they don't want to think about or find therapy as a sign of weakness. Therapy is quite the opposite. Therapy is a great strength that a person can bring into their life to help them live their life to their fullest potential. We are not our past or current situations. I have been a social worker for 25 years and worked in a variety of settings including mental health clinic and psychiatric hospital programs.
During recent years many of us have dealt with a serious of losses that don't seem to stop. Loss of loved ones through death, our health, relationships, job, financial stability. Unfortunately, the list goes on and on. Loss after loss can make us feel stuck, depressed and anxious. I can help you mange these issues in ways that are comfortable for you.
Although we are all going through similar stresses, I am able to understand your needs and provide individualized care. My goal is to help you learn new ways to manage these stresses and barriers. Through collaboration, we can meet your goals.
