Carmen Juneidi, LCSW

I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist and I help people struggling with the effects of past trauma or anxiety find inner peace and create healthy relationships.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and domestic violence expert, I have helped many people overcome pain from their past and find joy in their lives again. Most of my work has been with anxiety and “Complex PTSD”, the type of trauma that develops in response to the prolonged, repeated experience of being hurt by people within an intimate relationship.

My therapeutic approach uses a blend of evidence-based psychological techniques and Eastern philosophies, such as mindfulness. My approach is relational and insight-oriented, which means that it is important for me to create a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and help them come to understand themselves and their current "programming". I help client step outside of their comfort zones in order to grow.

Additionally, I am experienced in treating problems related to family conflict, couples, divorce/separation and coparenting challenges. I also enjoy working with the adolescent and young adult population, including foster/adoptive youth. I am welcoming of diversity in all its forms, including the LGBTQ+ and the neurodivergent communities (people who are diagnosed or identify as having ADHD or being on the autism spectrum).

I am a true optimist who believes that happiness is our birthright. I can tell you from personal experience that change is possible. Despite having encountered quite a few challenges and speed bumps in my years, I now live a healthy and satisfying life filled with joy, love, respect and positive expectations.
