I am the owner of Imagine Counseling Services, which is a private practice which can help you imagine new possibilities through counseling, therapy, and consultation. We want to create a fun and engaging environment that provides sound and validated approaches using counseling and therapy techniques, as well as psychoeducation and training through consultation and training services. We aim to provide ethical and prompt service, convenience to all customers served, and sound deliverance of services and information to customers. Imagine Counseling Services is owned by a higher education professional with 16 years of experience in the mental health field and 11 years of higher education experience in teaching and campus mental health. We focus on connecting with businesses and the community to provide supportive and private practice services. I am also Director of Marshall University’s Counseling Center and have been since June 2018. I received a Doctor of Education Degree (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in 2013, an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University in 2006, and a BA in Psychology in 2004, also from Marshall University. I am licensed in the state of West Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Peer Educator (CPE) Training Instructor, certified Trainer in QPR- Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training, and certified as a Tips for the University Trainer. I enjoy teaching as an adjunct instructor in counseling and psychology. I have completed various trainings in Mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed care, Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am a Certified Mindfulness-Informed Clinician – Level 1 (CMC-1) and a Certified Grief Informed Professional. I have 16 years of counseling experience in many different counseling and human service environments and 11 years of experience working with youth and adults in community-based, foster care, residential, private practice, higher education, and K-12 school-based services.
