About me
My name is Bryan. I have lived in Rapid City, SD for about 20 years. I moved here from Fargo, ND. I lived there about 8 years. Before that I was lived in Yuba City, CA. My experience includes working in a locked psychiatric facility with kids of all ages and diagnoses, a domestic violence shelter and adolescent facility in Eagle Butte, SD, clinical director for an in patient adolescents facility where I ran an addiction unit, a psychiatric residential treatment facility, and group home, Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board, and now private practice. I am currently in private practice with Nora Boesem who is very knowledgeable in FASD, Autism, and Attachment. Together we help people overcome trauma using different techniques such as Trauma Focused- CBT, DBT, solution focused, among several other treatment modalities. We come from a humanistic and holistic point of view. We have worked with people of all ages and strive to help people live a more satisfying and functional life.
With so many options out there what does Satterwhite counseling bring that is unique? Bryan Satterwhite and Nora Boesem bring expertise in working with children and adolescents with prenatal alcohol/drug exposure, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism, and attachment traumas. They bring years of experience and their own personal journeys with children’s mental health. They can help you to navigate some of the hardest moments as a family. Offering testing for FASD, autism, and functional developmental assessments. We provide individual therapy for all ages including adults who are experiencing suicidality and trauma.
We will help people who are struggling with mental health issues that affect all aspects of life. We bring experience in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy; the Duluth model for domestic violence; parenting-fatherhood is sacred, motherhood is sacred; parent-child interaction therapy; parent/child assessments, and sibling assessments.
Nora and I would love to hear from you to see if we can help build a stronger and healthier family. We would love to hear from individuals who are struggling with depression, trauma, self-harming, and anxiety. Give us a chance to improve your life today!
