About me
I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus on improving mental health and collaborating with my clients to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD.
My passion is to empower the people I work with to gain the tools they need to enhance their mental health. Being a mother of two young children, I understand how easy it is to struggle with balancing all the aspects of life and I want to help people take back control of their feelings and choices. I take a gentle, person-centered approach that enables my clients to put their learned skills into practice. It is important that you feel supported throughout your journey.
I often use therapy techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps to target irrational thinking, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which teaches skills for emotional regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and tolerating distress. With younger clients I often utilize play techniques to help them feel comfortable.
