About me
Hello! My name is Dr. Brian J Kelly, and I am a Licensed Psychologist in the States of New York and Rhode Island. I have been in the mental health field for approximately 20 years helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate the challenges life puts before them. I have worked with behavior and academic difficulties, anxiety, depression, divorce, parenting, and life / career issues.
My background is dynamic. I have received 2 master’s degrees, my Ph.D., and a certificate of advanced study. This includes experiences with exercise science, behavioral challenges, and psychology. I provide a holistic approach using short-term interventions designed to maximize the effectives of therapy allowing for each client to work on immediate change. There will be tasks for you to complete between sessions which allows for expedited growth and fulfillment. My approach is strength based. You will experience compassionate but insightful and at times challenging care to hopefully navigate and correct your life’s course. During all stages your feedback will be prudent to goal development and care planning. I am here to facilitate adjustment to life circumstances or provide more in-depth care.
