About me
I am an experienced adult mental health and chemical dependency counselor who is doing what I love - helping others to reach their full potential! I prefer adolescents 15+ and adults 18 - 100.
I am considered to be a trauma specialist and provide evidenced-based practice that fits the needs and desires of those I serve. I just left a job that I loved, working with active military and veterans. I am now in private practice and can see clients in person or by video conferencing. By the way, I am considered to be the "calm" counselor and am very good at offering numerous ideas about stress management, trauma, anger management, grief, life transitions/adjustments, relationship problems, mood disorders, career issues, to name a few. I take insurance or cash (call your insurance to ascertain that you are in network).
My spiritual foundation is Christian; however, I am familiar with and able to work with any religion or non-religion. My goal is to discover what makes you unique, assist you to build upon your strengths and offer insights and ideas, never solutions or advice. I found that it is so much more empowering for you to find your answers "Give a man a fish and he will eat today; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime". Clients are by appointment only, Monday-Friday. I will see clients on Saturday as needed. Throw away the stigma of seeking help (you would see a doctor for pneumonia, yes?) Allow me to walk with you on a journey to wellness.
