About me
Bill Collins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience working across a wide range of demographics, from ages 5-65, in various settings. Bill's goal is to work with clients to remove barriers and roadblocks to living a happy and fulfilling life. Bill focuses on clients’ strengths and helps empower them to make positive changes. He believes in creating a strong therapeutic relationship that is rooted in trust, transparency, and collaboration. Bill specializes in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance abuse issues, and depression. Bill earned his Master's from Virginia Commonwealth University. Bill's practice philosophy is rooted in a person-centered strengths perspective. His focus is building on the client's natural strengths to help empower them and give them the needed tools to make positive changes in their life. Bill uses CBT and goal-oriented practices to help the client achieve their goals. Life is challenging and oftentimes overwhelming. When we don’t have the natural supports to deal with challenges, we may benefit from counseling. Starting counseling can also be a daunting task, but Bill is confident that his combination of personability, experience, and therapeutic knowledge can help ease your concerns and deal with the challenges you face.
