About me
I am a LCSW with over 10 years of experience counseling individuals, groups, and families. I earned my master’s of social work degree from Baylor University and my bachelor’s of science in psychology from Florida State University. My passion is helping children/adolescents, young adults, military personnel, and their families. Common issues I help clients with include anxiety, depression, adjustment, separation, suicidal ideations, trauma, grief, abuse, self-harm, behavioral issues, peer relationship issues, social skills, anger, self-esteem, coping skills, and divorce.
I take a multi-faceted approach to understanding and supporting clients while utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques including, but not limited to, child-centered play therapy, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based approach, family systems techniques, person-centered techniques, and narrative therapy.
It is important to me that clients feel safe and seen and that their feelings and needs are validated. I work with where clients are now, address and process where they were, and help them grow and get to where they want to be.
