About me
I am a seasoned clinician who guides clients in navigating the symptoms and experiences of anxiety and depression to achieve improved emotional and mental health, and to find stability and satisfaction in their lives.
I have over 20 years of experience working in the areas of anxiety/panic, depression, grief, and loss, among others. Over the years I have enhanced my strong foundation in traditional psychotherapy with advances in, and insights from, additional treatment approaches including CBT, Narrative therapy, and neuroscience. My practice is centered in the social work value of treating the whole person in the context of their values, life experiences and circumstances, culture, and identity ; I prioritize finding the techniques, approaches, and perspectives that work best for each individual client. Areas of particular interest and skill are: Anxiety and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, grief, life transitions, gender transition, childhood emotional neglect, and medical (HIV, cancer, MS, infertility, menopause, etc.).
