About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who utilizes an eclectic approach when providing therapeutic services. I specialize in anxiety/stress, depression/grief, disruption in family (couples, siblings, parents & children), and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have a proven track record in the successful administration of short-term, long-term, family medical leave (FMLA), social security, mental health benefits, and Veterans increase their percentage of disability. My expertise and therapy services are not limited to these diagnosis.
"I take an eclectic approach to providing therapeutic services. The goal of therapeutic services is to assist my clients in obtaining and maintaining "Good Mental Health". Life can be challenging but it is our choices that make it difficult." Achieving good mental health requires a collaborative relationship, which begins with building a trusting therapeutic environment. In practice, I utilize a variety of theoretical approaches to include Reality/Choice Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Family Systems and Adlerian. Although, we will identify and process unresolved childhood issues that are negatively impacting our adulthood (choices), our main focus in therapy in the "Hear and Now".
