About me
“People are my passion. I strongly believe that human lives are built through experiences and that every difficult situation is part of the learning process toward our well-being. Critical situations do have solutions. To reach that solution, we need to recognize and accept our own power to make changes.”
Angela Peregud-Aksimentyeva, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) with 25+ years of counseling experience with adults, children, couples and families. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Clinical Psychology and continued her post-graduate education at the Chicago Center for Family Health and American Public University.
Angela parallels the therapeutic process with unfiltered and courageous story telling. She believes that our unique life story contributes to defining who we are and holds the key to understanding our suffering. Whether it is the stories we tell ourselves, the stories we are sometimes afraid to face or the unfinished stories we have yet to discover. We all have a personal history that shapes us.
Her straightforward and authentic therapeutic interventions guide clients to understand themselves more deeply, and to become authors of their ongoing narrative. Ultimately, client and therapist work together towards gently rewriting the client’s story in a way that feels true and that allows past, present, and future to co-exist harmoniously.
