About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health professional that has been in the field for more than a decade. I have served in different population from private practices to working out in the field at homes and in the community. My experience ranges from working with just one individual on simple challenges they wish to work on at the time to individuals that require more collaboration with others such as family members, schools, work, facilities, agencies, the courts, DCF.
The approach I use in my sessions are a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe we need a structure in order to measure the improvement you are doing but have a strong belief that factors and the environment around us play a strong role in our lives and in what may be affecting us at the moment.
During the first session you can expect to be heard, I have open ended questions that will bring up just enough information that you are comfortable sharing with, in order to have an idea of where we need to go. It is a very open session and I try to make each individual feel comfortable and accepted. We all go through different issues, and I want you to walk away feeling reassured that you will be starting your journey to heal together and with the support that you require.
