I am so glad that you decided to start your journey with therapy. You will learn so much about yourself! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and have become licensed in several other states in order to help more people.

I love dogs! I have 2 dogs, Brownie and Daisy. I recommend getting a pet because they need your love and support and having to be responsible for something that truly trusts you is a great feeling. Animals are great coping skills!

I believe in active listening. There are occasions where you just want to vent to a friend, colleague, family member etc, and they talk over you or focus the situation back on them. I am not a fan of that! I offer advice only if requested. Please understand that I hear you and acknowledge your strengths and challenges.

I leave you with this quote from the late, great Mr. Fred Rogers: All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we’re giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world. That’s one of the things that connects us as neighbors—in our own way, each one of us is a giver and a receiver.
