I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 18 years of experience in the field. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in different settings. I am also a clinical supervisor for social workers wanting to become licensed.

My name is Ana Maria Mejia, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, (LICSW). I graduated with a Master's in Social Work from Florida International University in 2008 and became licensed in Florida in 2011. I also hold a license in Washington State.

I have been providing social and mental health services to children, adolescents and adults for about 18 years -in different settings. I completed my graduate studies internship with the Veterans Administration (VA). I worked within a jail diversion program where I provided assistance to individuals suffering from chronic mental illness and facing felony charges. I worked with the Department of Children and Families as a Child Protective Services Investigator. I have about 10 years of experience working with incarcerated individuals (both juveniles and adults) including offenders with chronic mental illness. I have worked with individuals and families (adolescents and adults) in community mental health and private settings.

In my -almost 20 years in the field, I have worked with many, many individuals and families suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, grief, stress and on. It is important to know that no matter what you are dealing with, having someone to speak to will help you cope. However, seeking someone to share your troubles with should be a professional preferably or someone you trust whom will provide a safe space and good advice.

As a clinical social worker, I believe it's important to look at the whole person. I use the strength-based approach to build upon and different interventions depending on your needs. At this time, I am only providing telehealth sessions, Call or text me to schedule. Thank you!!
