ALICIA SWEEZY, LPC
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
This therapist holds one or more specialty certifications, you can review their certification within the professional certifications section on their profile.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I currently offer counseling to clients that are wanting to explore what is purposeful and meaningful in their life and to reduce suffering related to difficult thoughts and feelings.
I have over 30 years of clinical experience and have worked in both child and adolescent day treatment settings, emergency psychiatric services, outpatient child and family settings, in addition to over 20 years in private practice.
I learned to meditate in my early twenties and raised a son on my own.
I do my best to attend to the process of therapy with emotional openness so that clients may feel what is present even when it is hard, and notice any unhelpful and contributing thought processes.
I utilize Brainspotting, mindfulness techniques, CBT, ACT and other practices to aid the therapeutic process.
I've recently taken up mountain biking and will hit the trails whenever I get a chance!
