About me
I have nearly 25 years of experience as a family therapist, clinical social worker and family life educator working with teens and adults of all ages.
I feel I am most helpful when working with clients who have a sense of where they want their lives to go, who acknowledge the obstacles that confront them, and who are willing to form a collaborative relationship with me to address those challenges and apply the principles and practices that will produce the desired outcomes in their lives.
I have a full-time private practice working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Much of my practice is focused on couple and family relationships. as well as individual issues. I employ a holistic biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship problems, parenting, grief, aging, and coping with the everyday challenges of life.
Having had a career in the entertainment industry prior to my career in behavioral health, I have had a broad range of life experiences and interactions with people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, sexual orientations, etc. As a result, I have learned that people with the enhanced ability to face life's challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and achieve their greatest potential are those who also have the ability to acknowledge the humorous aspects of life and appreciate the therapeutic power of humor.
