Alexandra Price

Dr. Alexandra ("Alix") Price is a clinical psychologistwho has more than 16 years of experience assessing and treating various mental healthdiagnoses. She believes in holistic recovery and is particularly passionate about the importance of connection within the therapy relationship. Dr. Price works with adults who are struggling with adjustment disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, grief, life transition problems, women's issues, stress management, and much more. Dr. Price completed her Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) at Florida Institute of Technology. She has been licensed as a clinical psychologist in Virginia since 2007, and in 2014 earned boardcertification in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). While her approach to mental health treatmentis largely integrative, she relies on intervention skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based, solution-focused models. She recognizes the important combination of open communication and goal setting as key within therapeutic relationships.
