About me
I am a California licensed psychologist providing compassionate, holistic care for adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, and life transitions through humanistic, somatic, experiential, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches.
Hi! I'm Dr. Zachary Ginder, a licensed clinical psychologist in California dedicated to helping you heal, grow, and reconnect with your authentic self. Whether you're navigating anxiety, healing from trauma, managing depression, coping with stress, or moving through life transitions, I'm here to support you with compassion and expertise.
I know reaching out takes courage. Whatever brings you here, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking deeper meaning, you don't have to face it alone.

My Approach
At the heart of my practice is unconditional positive regard. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up authentically and discover your own path forward. You are the expert on your life; I provide the supportive relationship that allows your natural healing to unfold.
I practice integrative psychotherapy, drawing from multiple evidence-based approaches:
Humanistic & Experiential Therapy: We focus on your lived experience in the present moment, exploring emotions, relationships, and patterns with curiosity and compassion. This honors your whole self and supports authentic personal growth.
Somatic Psychology: Trauma and emotions live in the body. Through body-centered techniques, grounding practices, and breathwork, we help your nervous system heal and restore balance.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I integrate practical CBT tools to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping skills, and create behavioral changes that support your wellbeing.
Trauma-Informed Care: I provide trauma-sensitive therapy that respects your pace and honors your resilience, whether you're healing from complex trauma, PTSD, childhood wounds, or recent difficult experiences.
Mindfulness Practices: As a meditation practitioner, I offer mindfulness-based interventions and contemplative techniques when they align with your goals.

My Philosophy:
You have everything you need within you to heal and grow. My approach isn't about fixing what's broken, it's about cultivating awareness, building on strengths, and creating new possibilities for authentic living.
Therapy is collaborative. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but to provide genuine presence, clinical expertise, and compassionate guidance as you explore your inner landscape and experiment with new ways of being.
I work from a growth-oriented model that sees you as a whole person with inherent worth, not a collection of symptoms. While I can provide diagnostic assessments when needed, my focus is on your strengths, resilience, and potential for transformation.
Healing happens in relationship. I'm committed to creating an authentic, warm connection where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued.
