About me
Providing trauma and grief support for First Responders, Military members, and survivors (of all kinds) using CBT, DBT, EMDR. and Alpha-Stim.
As a former first responder, a military spouse, and the mother of a firefighter, police officer, and college student, I developed a deep passion for supporting military personnel, first responders, and trauma and grief survivors—along with the families who stand behind them. With more than three decades of experience in medical and academic research and a career spent teaching doctoral students, I felt a clear calling to transition into clinical counseling.
Currently completing my internship (moving into residency in January) through Liberty University, I have worked in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care both domestically and internationally. My experience includes partnering with individuals from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds to promote healing and resilience during their most difficult seasons.
I integrate EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Alpha-Stim to help clients work through trauma, grief, anxiety, chronic stress, pain, and insomnia. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and grounded in creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to heal.
