About me
I am a curious and compassionate Counselor who is passionate about working with adults with trauma, and accompanying issues including eating disorders and codependency.
I am a therapist providing trauma therapy in Boise, Idaho for adults experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, emotional overwhelm, and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals navigating major life transitions, chronic stress, and long-standing patterns of avoidance or emotional shutdown.
Many people seek therapy after feeling stuck in the same cycles for a long time—overthinking, difficulty setting boundaries, emotional numbness, or feeling like they are functioning externally while struggling internally. These patterns often persist even when you understand them intellectually, which can make change feel frustrating or out of reach.
My clinical approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT helps you develop psychological flexibility, allowing you to step out of unhelpful patterns and respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and emotions. Rather than focusing on eliminating distress, we focus on helping you move forward in a way that aligns with your values and goals.
For trauma and PTSD, I also use EMDR therapy when appropriate. EMDR helps process and reduce the emotional intensity of distressing memories so they feel less disruptive in your present life.
I believe therapy should be practical, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change. Together, we work to identify patterns that are keeping you stuck and develop tools that help you respond differently in daily life.
Over time, many clients experience greater emotional stability, improved relationships, reduced avoidance, and a stronger sense of control over how they respond to life’s challenges. The goal is not perfection, but a more flexible and workable way of living.
I work with adults across Idaho via telehealth as well as in-person clients in Boise. If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to reach out by phone, email, or message to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
