William Hengtgen, Mental Health Counselor

I am not currently taking new clients. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a National Certified Counselor. I have Masters degrees in both Counseling and Psychology. I specialize in mental health counseling as well as career counseling.

I work at CWM Counseling in Platteville, Wisconsin. I received my BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. I received my M.S.Ed. in Counselor Education at Northern Illinois University and a MA in Psychology from National Louis University. I have experience working in the community college setting as well as in substance abuse agencies. I have worked with people aged 16-70. I enjoy helping my clients to find their way through difficult situations. I am accepting clients for mental health counseling as well as clients interested in career counseling. Most times appointments available the same week.

I have over twenty-five years’ experience as a counselor. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety/depression, self-esteem issues, autism spectrum disorder, substance use/abuse, stress management, LGBTQ concerns and grief/loss. I can help with career issues along with other life transitions. I like to use an eclectic approach to help you.
