About me
Empowering Positive Change: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support for individuals, couples, military veterans, and first responders in the communities of Colorado Springs, near Black Forest, Peyton, and Falcon.
Hello. My name is Billy Christensen. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), military veteran, aviator, and former first responder dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support for individuals, couples, and military veterans. I bring an enthusiastic approach to working with people in need of mental health care, and I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, military veterans, and first responders facing a range of challenges, including depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, abuse, family conflict, and relationship issues.
My academic journey began at Northern Arizona University, where I graduated with the highest distinction in Applied Human Behavior. I furthered my education at Colorado Christian University, earning my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, again with the highest distinction. This solid educational foundation has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to offer effective and empathetic counseling.
In my practice, I employ a diverse range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet each client's unique needs. These include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels accepted and valued, regardless of their background or situation.
My goal is to help you navigate your personal challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth and positive change. I am committed to working collaboratively with you to build a brighter future.
I look forward to the possibility of working together and supporting you on your journey to mental wellness.
