About me
Are you the person you hoped you would be? Are you where you imagined you would be at this point? Do you find yourself comparing yourself to others and feeling as if you somehow fall short? Do you feel stuck and unable to move forward? Are you facing difficulties, doubts, or dissatisfaction in your relationship or career? Ask yourself a different question. Are you ready to feel empowered and thrive? The agony of struggle or crisis (danger & opportunity) often catalyzes change. My purpose is to assist my clients in becoming better versions of themselves and reaching their wildest potential. I provide integrative therapy and consulting tailored to your unique situation, goals, personality, strengths, culture, and history.
Wendi Lev specializes in supporting individuals and couples in overcoming the challenges that stand in the way of living with fulfillment, success, and satisfaction. She has done advanced training in helping clients with anxiety, "feelings of never being good enough," stuckness, perfectionism, fear of rejection, coping with abandonment, and depression at the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine, treating clients with substance use disorders at Yale University Medical School; couples therapy with Esther Perel, Terry Real, The Gottman Institute, and The Developmental Model. She is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals and was named the Top Doctor 2021 by The Patient Preferred Network.
By providing a window to your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, therapy can help you take better care of yourself & make your life more fulfilling. Generally, if you are feeling stuck, perspective is lost. Working together one-on-one, with others in a group, or with your partner in couples counseling, I strive to help you gain insight and see things from a different vantage point.
As a licensed clinical psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience, I recognize the importance of developing resistance to change to cope with significant life transitions (such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, medical illness, the birth of a child, and a new job).
Therapy aims to help you lead a whole and fulfilling life despite what curveballs you may not have control over thrown your way, increasing resilience and enabling you to utilize and develop them.
I am trained in several techniques, including CB T, DBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, Systemic/ Collaborative therapies, intensive short-term, Solution-Focused, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, divorce mediation, and treating substance use disorders, addictive behavior, and sexual dysfunction/intimacy issues.
