About me
I am an experienced clinical social worker who is dedicated to helping adolescents learn coping, feel seen and heard, and feel like they are in a safe space to talk about anything that they are struggling with. I work with adolescents who experience a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, self harm, suicidality and aggressive behaviors.
I graduated from Colby College with a double major of psychology and education. I then worked as a counselor and lead counselor at McLean Hospital in a girls adolescent residential program. I graduated from Boston College with my MSW, doing both outpatient and inpatient work throughout. I currently work at Somerville Hospital on the adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit. I bring humor into session and I like to build relationships that foster trust, comfortability, and feeling like you are in a safe space. I work with clients on adaptive coping skills, processing any issues that have been difficult, and helping come up with plans to increase effective communication at home. I use a strengths-based approach and want to be as collaborative as possible so that you feel involved in your own treatment plan.
