I am a licensed clinician and SAP and MAC. In practice for over 30 years in just about every clinical addiction setting. I am currently semi-retired. Meaning I dont take insurance, charge $50 dollars per virtual sessions. I don't do in person therapy but provide the utmost effective and confidential therapy for addictions.

Well my name is Tyrone S Lewis MS MAC LMHC SAP-have been in practice for longer than I can remember. I am one of the clinicians who has seen therapy for addictions go through a plethora of philosophies and approaches. I believe that there is not Recovery without sobriety from all substances. I have two Recovering children to prove it. 12 step programs are truly a supportive fellowship for the addict and his family and external system. Don't get hung up on the concept of "a higher power" but find out what that means. I believe, as being eclectic, that using every resource I have available to help someone become healthy, physically, emotionally, spiritually is the only way to go. I don't see treatment as a success or failure but more so in the alleviation of the habits or pain that triggers the person to use anything to ease the symptoms and to eliminate the target dysfunctional behaviors.
