About me

I am passionate about the intersection of education and social work and am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your well-being! My journey has been rooted in a commitment to promote emotional well-being and success, ensuring that all individuals, groups, and communities have access to the resources and support necessary to thrive. I am well-versed in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and individual and group therapy techniques. This background allows me to engage meaningfully with individuals who face mental health challenges, ensuring they feel understood, supported, and empowered. As a social worker, I prioritize emotional assessments and case management processes, tailoring interventions to fit the unique needs of each individual.

Congratulations on taking the first step to reaching emotional wellness! It takes a dedicated person committed to a life of well-being. Tristan’s ultimate goal is to help clients find and maintain motivation for lasting, meaningful change. When life gets zesty, Tristan can provide you with a safe, judgment-free, and relaxing space to allow for venting, humor, healing, and, most importantly, collaborative problem-solving to help ease the intensity, frequency, and duration of difficult emotions, feelings, and situations. Therapy is more than working towards goals; it’s about learning to cope with past experiences, using them as foundation stones for your future, and, of course, building a trusting relationship with another living, breathing human being! While therapy can feel task-oriented or like a checklist, I employ a more conversational method to help you. Everyone deserves a space where they can show up, be their authentic selves, and speak their truth!

Tristan has a variety of interests and specialties, including American burnout, quiet exhaustion, sport and athletic psychology, sexual health and wellness, concussion recovery/reintegration, substance use disorders, acute and chronic medical complexities, complex family dynamics, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Neurodivergent Learners and Individuals, and more! Being a person is hard on the best of days, life is going to life, and sometimes you need support. You are more than your presenting concerns, and I take an active role in exploring the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects that make you, you

I use a variety of tools to support children, teens, and adults in establishing emotional safety, recognition, and regulation; developing processing and coping skills; and restoring order and confidence. Some of those tools take the form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Practices and Interventions, and psychodynamic therapy with a strong focus on developing resilience skills. Using these tools means there is no “can’t do,” only how and when.

Tristan has a wide base of experience, including school and medical social work, co-occurring disorder treatment, school-based therapy and social work services, and is a former teacher. When Tristan is not at work, you can find him taking road trips, golfing, watching documentaries, napping in the grass, or coaching youth athletics. I look forward to being a foundation stone in your success! If any of the points above piqued your interest, please reach out to schedule an appointment! I hope to meet you soon!
