About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker (Virginia and Maryland) focused on practical tools to help you go from stuck to steady in a calm and supportive space we create together.
My approach to therapy begins with the therapeutic relationship: getting to know you and letting you get to know me and what I have to offer. I am experienced in almost all major mental health and substance use disorders, from schizophrenia to grief, bipolar disorder to trauma, hoarding to OCD. I gravitate towards solution focused therapies with a humanistic and holistic tone: staying warm, inquisitive, and calm. I believe what the mind suppresses, the body expresses and I like to include body work in many of my treatment approaches as well where clinically appropriate. This could include meditation, gratitude practice, breath work, vagus nerve toning, progressive muscle relaxation, and more.
