I specialize in Addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed, Polyvagal-informed, Acudetox, Motivational Interviewing, and I continue to expand my specialties through continuing education training to have a variety of skills to meet your needs.

My passion and focus are to help you find your true sense of self, work through your struggle, help you realize your dreams, goals, and purpose.

Hello everyone! I am Traemon McCabe. My goal is to see you become the best version of yourself. From personal experience and research, events that happen in our lives teach us lessons about the world that may feel true at the time and turn out to be false later. When we reject and neglect being open-minded, we find our actions may be based on mistaken beliefs, thinking errors, and unresolved issues. These issues can make it hard to manage life challenges in the moment. Working with clients from many walks of life with various needs, we work together to help clients find new ways to experience life authentically. My belief is that incorporating strengths-based and evidence-based approaches to the therapeutic process will help individuals develop a resilient and flexible nervous system and way of thinking. Through our collaboration, we work to handle difficult situations head-on. Using different approaches, we help the client find their effective path towards healing. I use engagement, challenging questions, humor, and a direct approach because I believe your time is valuable, therapy should get to the point, and it can be fun doing so.

When I am not being a counselor, I like to spend time with my wife, exploring the mountains and lakes, gardening, practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong, playing and teaching music, trying new foods, learning new subjects, and having new experiences. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Colorado State University-Pueblo in Pueblo, CO. I then went on to get a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO.

Looking for a therapist can be difficult because it’s not easy to know exactly what you are getting into. 'Will this guy really know what he's talking about? Can I be honest and trust this person will have my best interests at heart? Will he actually be able to help me?' These questions are normal to ask for clients and uncertainty is bound to happen when you are looking for yourself. It's my hope that we will collaborate and you will become that better version of yourself you’re searching for.
