About me

I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of therapy experience. I specialize in executive coaching, trauma, substance misuse, and complex interpersonal situations. I offer in-person sessions at my office in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, and I am also authorized through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) to offer virtual sessions in most states.

Before I started my private practice, I was the director of the Charles O'Brien Center for Addiction Treatment at the University of Pennsylvania.

My background is in positive psychology and I am skilled at helping people to work with their strengths to be more effective at work and in their relationships. After receiving my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Michigan, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Martin Seligman.

I am certified in using EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) to treat trauma. I also use an internal family systems (IFS) approach to EMDR that helps people better understand themselves and release emotional pain.
