About me
I’m a Resident in Counseling with a background in nursing, inpatient mental health, and over two decades as a military spouse. I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from both clinical experience and real-life perspective. As a national brain health educator, I integrate mind-body awareness into my work to support clients navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and those who are emotionally overwhelmed. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing and personal growth can take root.
Supervised by Justin Dixon, LPC
As a Resident in Counseling with a rich foundation in nursing, inpatient mental health, and over two decades as a military spouse, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy. My journey has been shaped by real-life experience, both personal and professional, which informs my deep understanding of resilience, transition, and healing.
With a background in brain health education on a national level, I am passionate about helping individuals understand the mind-body connection and how emotional wellness impacts every part of our lives. My work is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and centered on building trust and safety in the therapeutic space.
Having supported individuals and families through military life, medical challenges, and mental health crises, I offer an empathetic and nonjudgmental presence. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life changes, or relationship issues, I’m here to walk alongside you with insight, skill, and heart.
Specialties
I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and older adults (geriatric populations), providing support through life transitions, emotional challenges, and behavioral patterns that interfere with well-being. With a background in healthcare and inpatient mental health, I offer informed, compassionate care across the lifespan.
Therapeutic Approach
My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with integrated interventions from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I help clients build psychological flexibility, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward a values-driven life. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we’ll explore the path to healing and growth—with courage, clarity, and care.
