About me
Hello and welcome! :-) I’m Todd Provenzano, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. Having taught graduate-level counseling courses in Cincinnati for many years, I understand the intense stress and complex challenges college students face. Whether you’re leaving home for the first time, juggling school and relationships, or navigating career changes, it can feel overwhelming. But together, I’m hopeful we can accomplish something meaningful to you and your aspirations.
I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whether you’re feeling stuck, navigating a major life transition, or searching for clarity and confidence, I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach is rooted in warmth, collaboration, and a deep belief in your resilience. With over 15 years of experience in mental health, I’ve worked with individuals, families, and professionals seeking meaningful change. My role as a therapist is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered—to make sense of your story, identify what matters most to you, and build practical strategies to move forward in ways that feel right for you.
Therapy with me is a collaborative journey where you are the expert in your own life. My role is to help you uncover strengths, navigate challenges, and build confidence in your ability to create meaningful change. Clients describe me as engaging, empathetic, and supportive, offering both deep listening and practical tools. I take a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, incorporating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing to strengthen inner motivation, Solution-Focused Therapy to create actionable steps forward, and Family Systems Therapy to explore family dynamics and improve relationships. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all—our work together will evolve based on your needs. Some days, we may focus on deep personal exploration, while other days, we may work through practical problem-solving and coping strategies. My goal is to ensure that therapy is a safe, validating, and empowering space where you can gain insight, build resilience, and take meaningful steps forward.
I specialize in working with college students, young professionals, families, and individuals in life transitions. Perhaps you're experiencing a quarter or mid-life crisis, or another life transition that's created a time of uncertainty where life’s choices feel overwhelming. If you’re feeling lost, unsure of your next steps, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can help you find clarity, direction, and confidence in your future. I also work with professionals and caregivers who are seeking balance, meaning, and a way to prevent burnout while staying connected to the work and relationships that matter most to them. No matter where you are in your journey, I believe you already have the strengths and resilience needed to grow, and my role is to help you uncover and use them.
Our first session will focus on getting to know you—your challenges, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain. This is a space for you to share at your own pace, without pressure or expectation. A typical session may include checking in on recent experiences and progress, exploring thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back, practicing coping strategies to manage stress and emotions, and setting small, achievable goals to support your growth. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you are truly seen and heard, where your experiences are honored, and where you can work toward a future that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you.
I know that finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I would love to help you determine if we are a good fit. I offer a free 15-minute consultation—reach out today to schedule a time to talk or book an appointment directly. No matter where you are n your journey, you don’t have to do this alone. Let’s take this next step together.
