About me
Welcome to Better Help! I commend you on taking this first step in beginning this journey of therapy. Therapy is an inviting place, where you are most welcomed to share your personal challenges.
My name is Tiniya Bolden and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I’ve obtained my Master of Social Work degree at Silberman School of Social Work in 2014, specializing in Clinical Practice with individuals, families and groups. I’ve spent majority of my career working in supportive housing settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal, health and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety/stress, schizophrenia, formerly homeless, ACS involvement, trauma/abuse, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, formerly incarcerated, relationships, supported employment and more. Over the past 6 years as a clinician, I have learned that the most vital aspect of counseling is the connection between a therapist and the client. I also believe that it is very important for a therapist to able to listen, understand, be open-minded and provide non-judgmental feedback to their clients. I am a strong believer that sometimes, what one need is a different perspective or additional support from someone other than friends and family. I would be honored to be that person for you.
You are welcome to contact me through Better Help at any time. I check messages throughout the day, seven days per week. I offer live chat, phone and video sessions with limited availability in the mornings, afternoons and weekends. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability, so please confirm this with me through messaging first.
I look forward to working with you!
